SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

 

  • Before you use the lights bought from ead lighting.com always read and follow the manufacturer's safety instructions carefully.
  • Always use the lights for their intended use.
  • Never use Indoor lights Outdoors.
  • Never remove bulbs when the power is switched on or the plug is in the socket.
  • With Low Voltage transformers, always keep the transformer indoors in a safe and dry location.
  • It is advisable to use a safety cut out device or circuit breaker when using Christmas Lights.
  • Always keep lights clear of decorations and other flammable materials. i.e. cloth, paper or any material that is not part of the light set when in use.
  • Remember even on Low Voltage sets, the bulbs can become hot and the transformers can generate heat.
  • Keep cables tidy to avoid hazards.
  • Do not leave the lights on unattended.
  • Always switch off lights when you go out or retire to bed.
  • Do not attempt to repair any Christmas lights, which have become damaged. Dispose of them safely.
  • Do not rewire the wiring in any way on any product.
  • Try to avoid covering cables, wires etc ie under carpets - where they could be walked upon and damaged.
  • Take care when hanging lights.  Use correct step ladders for the height required.
  • Keep children away from Christmas lights. Your Christmas lights are not toys!  To avoid risk of fire, burns, personal injury and electric shock, the Christmas lights should not be played with or placed where small children can reach the light bulbs.
  • Do not mount or place Christmas lights near gas or electric heaters, fireplaces, candles or other similar sources of heat.
  • Do not puncture the insulation of the Christmas light with drawing pins, staples or nails.
  • To reduce the risk of fire or electrical shock, do not mount or support the Christmas tree lights in a manner that can cut or damage the light sets.
  • Do not close your doors or windows on the Christmas lights or extension cords as this may damage the wire insulation.
  • If your Christmas lights are equipped with push-in type light bulbs, do not twist the light bulbs. Pull the light bulbs straight out of the light bulb socket.
  • To reduce the risk of overheating, replace any burned out light bulbs promptly.
  • Use the proper Christmas light bulbs with the same voltage and wattage.
  • Do not overload sockets by adding additional light sets together.
  • Take care and have fun this Christmas.
